"images" cycles on "opening ..."

if i open an image from a samba share (share is on a linux device) the image app cycles for example on "openening 1/5". the image is already loaded and will be shown, but it won`t stop poping up the "opening ..." info. i have tried it on 2 different linux devices with samba shares (one workstation with ubuntu and one linux based NAS), but i get always the same result.

I get the same behavior using a Buffalo Tech Linkstation NAS box.

I get the same behavior connecting to any shared drive on my network.
