Best Wireless router for N810
Ok, I've searched
Problem routers (sometimes) Dlink and Netgear. Some problems were mentioned with N class routers. Now with Draft-N, Dual band Draft-N, Extreme-N, Superman-N, Gaming-N what are people finding for new equipment that WORKS WELL? Complaints are also solicited, but I'd rather see 3 posts that say someone gets 100% with no complaints with X setup than 100 posts complaining they can't get Y to work. tia |

I'm using an Orinoco AP700 in B/G mode, works great. Auth is WPAPSK, sees my TwonkyServer just fine although scanning the rather large music collection takes several minutes. Streamed MP3s play flawlessly using the stock music player.

Re: Best Wireless router for N810
I have three WRT54Gs and two Buffalo WHR-G125, all running the latest DD-WRT release. Personally, I'd lean towards the Buffalo these days (price is right, and they're a little more overclockable than the WRT54GLs).
If you get either of them, make sure you load DD-WRT or something similar, as the stock firmwares on both of them pretty much suck. Just make sure to get the WRT54GL if you go with Linksys. |

My netgear RangeMax (draft N) works flawlessly. Very fast, too.
However, I'm keeping an eye on Buffalo. They have a router that supports FON, which I'm interested in. www.fon.com EDIT: I had periodic issues with my previous compact Linksys, but it just involved a reboot every time. More annoying than anything. I now use it as a travel/emergency router. |
