Help: OS2008 update just bricked my N810?
 

I just got my N810 today and had been playing with it an installing some apps and such earlier, I just ran the OS2008 update Wizard while it was connected to the computer, and when it was finished I shut the device off and disconnected the USB plug. Now I can't get it to turn on and there is no sign of it charging when I plug it into the wall.

Earlier before the update it took me several holds of the power button to make it turn on but that only happened once, now I can't turn it on at all and it isn't even showing a charge indicator when its plugged into the wall. I really hope its not broken somehow...

Have you tried removing the battery for 10 or more seconds, and then reinserting it? This performs a "hard" reset.

No problem. Maybe that common tactic should be added to the instructions (I haven't checked the latest to see if it's there)...
