download rtcomm libraries
OS2008. Trying to install from rtcomm.garage.maemo.org. I have set the red pill (whatever that means!). I click on the installer link. It says the software is OS2008 beta. When I try to run the installation, I get:
unable to install. some packages required for the installation are missing I'm trying to set up a sip client to access my asterisk server. I've done some searching and apparently this has been a problem for others. Is there a solution? help! |
Re: download rtcomm libraries
Bump. Can anyone tell me how to install these libraries?

Re: download rtcomm libraries
Intersting if rtcomm is alread installed. I'm trying to use rtcomm as a SIP phone, to connect to our asterisk system. The rtcomm web site says it can do that. When I use the OS2008 internet call setup, it asks me to set up either google talk or jabber. I don't want either of those. Can I manually enter the call setup information somewhere?

Re: download rtcomm libraries
OK, General, let's make sure we're talking about the same thing. I click on the people icon on the left side (OS2008). There is a menu item "set presence". That is greyed out on my N800. Is that what you mean?

Re: download rtcomm libraries
If you click on the availability ball up in the status panel, under presence settings you should see Account settings. There you can set up and enable/disable sip accounts etc..
