how to get videos played on 2007 HE?
 

well I flashed my 770 to OS 2007 HE. problem is when I tried to install canola 2, it always noticed me 'unable to install, there are some application packages required'. click on "details", "application packages missing: libxdamage1, libncurses5(>=5.4-1),
libreadline4(>=4.3-1)
libxdamage1."

mplayer can be installed but none of any video can be played.



could anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks alot!

Canola 2 is not yet available for 770. Use 1.

You can also use the internal media player, kmplayer (frontend to mplayer), mediabox or something else. There are plenty of options available.

thanks for your reply. thing's that the internal media player cannot play movies correctly. other players cannot be installed because of missing packages. Do you know how to get them installed? also canola 1 is not available now.

To use the MPlayer plugin you need to add the experimental repo.

Works fine with the latest MPlayer from OS2006, sometimes MPlayer freezes on movie ending (maybe just mine).
