Headphone Jack Not working

I just got an n810 today. Installed the latest version o/s and when I plug in the headphone I get no audio. I do get audio from the speakers when no headphones are plugged in, and I have tried a different pair with the same results (yes the volume is turned up and not muted). Any thoughts would be great, I dont want to return this great device!

Never mind, tight hole just had to push harder. Stupid me!

A common problem is not pushing the jack in far enough. It is very stiff.

Yeah, as I said, common problem. A quick search will answer many questions.

Don't beat yourself up - this problem always crops up each time Nokia releases a new tablet device. That's why we have a searchable archive of previous posts. ;)

It could be something else...

If you are in the FM Radio application, the headphones function as the antenna.

You have the option of using the internal speakers -OR- the headphones and there is a little icon which allows you to swap between them. It toggles between what looks like a BOOM BOX and a HEADPHONE.

Don't be hard on yourself. I had the same problem with my new N800.. its a really hard push, and I guess I was afraid of breaking something ;-)

I had the same problem, then when I tried for the nth time, it worked. I did wonder what had changed ...
