Bluetooth to OSX 10.4.11 Unsuccessful
I can't link my N800 (OS2008) with my G4 Mac running 10.4.11 . I get a warning message that says "Device does not have the necessary services."
Actuall, I've not successfully connected to any Mac with my N800. Any suggestions? |

That said, you may have to use Konqueror on the Mac (in an X window). Hope this helps, Craig... |

However, I think you're missing the OP's point. Macs support the FTP Bluetooth profile to access file systems on Bluetooth devices that also support the FTP profile. There's a nice, friendly "Browse device" button to click and no need for SSH or SCP (though the Mac has those). According to Nokia's literature on OS2008, it supports the FTP Bluetooth profile, but attempting to use it from a Mac leads to exactly the error message Ogar reported: "Device does not have the necessary services." Other users have reported similar failures when attempting to connect to N8x0s via the FTP profile from other, non-Mac devices. |

That is what's failing to work here. Please see this PDF for more information on the Bluetooth FTP profile. |
