EEE-PC 2nd Gen

Looks like Asus is going to show off the 2nd Gen EEE at CES in a few days.

From all the post it should have a bigger screen so it can run higher res them 800x480 and lower power {7w vs 11w} so it will be fanless as well, all this for ~ the same price.....
If so I may get one ;)

Asus has been coyly hinting at a spec-bumped Eee PC for a while now, but it looks like the wink-and-nudge days are over -- German Asus spokesman Holger Schmidt said that an 8GB Eee PC with a 10-inch screen would ship in 2008, as well as that equally-rumored but far less sexy desktop Eee. See, sometimes dreams do come true.

The whole WiMax thing has become uncertain to me, in term of standardization and compatibility. There is not the strong certification progrm like there was with WiFi. It is used to be, at least in the US, that Xohm was the big gorilla in WiMax and if your device was going to work with Xohm, you were set. But how do we know which devices will work with which WiMax networks?
