loading java applications from a web page
 
my stock quote java application
get loaded from a javascript on my brokers web page, and when i click on the link, it fails to load. any ideas?

Java is not available for the internet tablets. Only a limited command-line version. If you really need the application you could try logging in to your pc via rdesktop (windows) or vnc (linux).

Not entirely true... Jalimo has SWT graphics now on Maemo, and they have AWT as well on OpenMoko (linux phones). I think we'll see decent Java support before too long.

As for a plugin that enables applets in a browser... I guess that will take longer. But I don't see why it should be so big a deal -- Java applets have been around for over 10 years.
