screen flashes on N800
 

I have had this happen to me 2x now. both times have been since upgrading to 2008, but they were also both after the battery had gone completely dead, and was still charging. If I power on my device, my screen flashes about every 30 seconds or so. just a quick flicker off and then right back on. Is this related to charging, or is it something else?

I tried searching the forums for the info, but was unsuccessful.

I experianced the same issue yesterday. I was using Canola at the time and had left it downloading a couple of podcasts when I noticed the screen cycling off and on. It seemed to be happenning every 5-10s, and went away after I'd restarted it a few times and charged the battery....

...Add me to the list of people wanting to find the cause.

My system is a N800, 2x8GB SDHC, OS2008, latest chat and IM beta upgrade.

I am getting the same thing. It is typically when I've let my N800 sit charging for quite a while. I have my display set to stay on when charging so that I can see whatever music app I am running. Do you guys also have your display set this way?

this is a bug that occurs after chargingfor a really long time
i just restart and it goes away

Hi there,

I am getting the same flicker on the bottom half of my screen. It has gotten to the point where it is not useable anymore. Any solutions to this problem?
