google gears ?

I was wondering wether somebody adapted google gears to OS2008, considering that :

1/MicroB does work with some Firefox extensions (Adblock from example)
2/ Google Gears could greatly enhance the internet tablet experience giving potential offline access to many applications (as of now : Remember the Milk, Google Reader, Zoho Docs and supposedly soon more Google apps)

I don't think anyone has yet, but I don't know of anything preventing someone from doing it. Are you volunteering?

Have a look at :

http://code.google.com/p/google-gear.../detail?id=292

and the code at:

https://garage.maemo.org/svn/browser...-google-gears/

I don't know what Nokia's offical stance is but it would be great to see it working on OS2008.
