Playing PC games via VNC (was Diablo and Diablo 2)
For Diablo 2 the PC requierments are as follows:
* Windows® 2000*, 95, 98, or NT 4.0 Service Pack 5 * Pentium® 233 or equivalent * 32 MB RAM * 650 MB available hard drive space * 4X CD-ROM drive * DirectX™ compatible video card I'm a newb, don't know much about wine and the n8*0s, but... we got to be able to at least swing Diablo 1... anyone even tried messing around with these? |
Re: Diablo & Diablo 2
Nope, I don't think so. You see, all games that the tablets have have already been released in Linux as far as I know. They have just ported them over to run on Maemo. I don't think there is a linux version of Diablo. I could be wrong though.

Re: Diablo & Diablo 2
Before receiving my n800, I was planning on playing diablo on it using vmware and vnc on my homeserver. I've since given up on the idea because the frame rate was just too low.

Re: Diablo & Diablo 2
does Diablo run in wine? I would imagine someone would need to compile wine for the tablet, I have no idea how big wine is or if its easy to compile for the tablet.

Re: Diablo & Diablo 2
Diablo 1 works with wine. I used to play it on my Slackware. Its a good game. It would be nice to be able to play it on the Nokia Tablet. :P

I guess, as windows bins's are x86 even if wine was compiled, prob wouldn't be able to execute x86 programs on an ARM arch.

Re: Diablo & Diablo 2
WINE : Wine Is Not an Emulator ...
so doesn't emulate x86 on arm ! |
