night vision webcam usb-host os2008 gspca
1 Attachment(s)
Hello, I made a night vision webcam(without infrared filter, and with a infrared light). I want to put on N800 conecting with usb-host. I just compiled the module gspca.ko for os2008 and I think insmod load corectly the module, but I have several issues. Can anybody help to make this posible. In /dev/video I have video1 and video0, this means that load correctly but I don't know how to see webcam pictures because no software knowledge.
Also I think the usb have no power to turn up webcam. Webcam use 100mA and 5V, I pretend to put a powered hup. If anyone can help to make gspca goes on N800-N810 was brilliant. I write next changes at http://www.behindmaemolines.blogspot.com/ Here I put the module: ( I put a 7zip compresion into a zip (sorry)) |
Re: night vision webcam usb-host os2008 gspca
Did you know the N800 camera is infra-red sensitive? Also if you want to block visible light then a piece of exposed negative film (typically on the end of film strips) makes a good filter.

Try using mplayer to view the stream.

Re: night vision webcam usb-host os2008 gspca
I think mplayer fpr maemo is not compiled with that functionality...

Does anyone know if the IR filter is on the lens itself, or in the plastic cover?
