MPlayer question (skipping ahead)
 
I have some videos working in mplayer, however I can't for the life of me figure out how to skip around. In the default player you can, but in Mplayer there seems to be no way. Hitting the menu key brings up an OSD that has an option like that at the top but it does nothing.

Help anyone?

Use the top left button and hit the right side to move forward and the left to move backward.

You mean the pad with the 4 buttons and the one center one? The center one pauses but the other ones don't seem to do anything. :(

Yes, the pad with the 4 buttons and center one. That's strange, it works on mine. Sorry I wasn't much help.

Where did you get your mplayer? Maybe the one I have is outdated.

Hit the menu key and the top onscreen option is 10min fast forward or backward using the L/R keypad, then hit the Back/arrow button to close the menu when done.

I'm running the same version on OS2008 on my N800. Might be a bug or something.
