trouble syncing with garnet

i installed palm desktop and garnet vm on my n810 and connected the two via usb

i can't sync them for whatever reason, i entered my ip address on hotsync and then selected "start hotsync" but it says "Failed (Can't connect)"

anyone have any success at all in syncing? i searched the forums but wasn't able to find a clear cut solution (using terms beyond my knowledge)

I haven't gotten USB hotsyncing to work. Only wifi or bluetooth work for me.

i assume it will be a matter of time before it can be syncd using USB? how did you get it to sync using bluetooth or wifi?

basically what im trying to accomplish is to find a way to sync a calendar, contacts, and a to do list program between my computer and my n810

does GPE have a program for desktops that works like the palm desktop???

To sync with wifi.....I've got a wifi router with a bunch of home PCs linked through it, and also connected to the Internet. I got the IP address of the PC that has my Palm Desktop installed and made sure Hotsync Manager was running on that PC. I then made sure my N800 could connect to the wifi router by seeing it was connecting to the Internet through the router. I put the correct IP address of the PC I was hotsyncing to in the GarnetVM hotsync and it worked.
