MacFUSE and N810

Hi,

I'm Mac user and I use MacFUSE for get connected to other files systems, I was connected to my N810 but it has an weird behavior, I can read any folder, sub-folder and file from N810 but I can't modify, write or even create files, but I can create folders. I don't know if there can be a problem with permissions and root.

I tried to use SFTP using Cyberduck for transfer files and it works flawlessly.

Regards,

Taguapire.

Are you connecting to the Nokia as user or root? What directories are you trying to modify? Does the Mac give an error or does the file just not show up?

I'm connecting as 'root', and I can see every file and folder, even I can open every item. The path in which I want to write is /media/mmc2/

I'm using fuse+sshfs on Linux (which should be very close to the same code, except for the fuse part in kernel-space) and I have no problems. If you test it in Terminal.app do you get any helpful output?:
Code:

touch /Volumes/N8x0/media/mmc1/test.txt
If it works it should give you an empty text file. Any error messages would be helpful.

Ok,

This is a weird situation. Trough Mac interface connected via MacFussion I can delete or create folders, I can delete files but not create or write files, without care in which folder I try.

I did the CLI test, and I can create files/folder without any kind of issues using touch command, BUT I can't do it using the UI of the system.

I can't understand this behavior unless it is a bug of MacFussion.

What error does it give in Finder?

Re: MacFUSE and N810

ERROR MESSAGE: The operation can't be completed because you don't have enough privileges in some items. (More or less my translation, I own a system in other language)

I just did a test about write in other folders and I found that I can write in every folder owned by root but not in /media/mmc2. Then I noticed that the owner of mmc2 folder is 'user'. I thought that it is an permission issue, because my Mac can't determine the user and how to map it.

I don't know very well how to map users but I know that it can be done, I just don't know how to do it. I don't know If I can screw up some thing if I change the ownership of /media/mmc2

The most weird thing is that I can write to mmc2 from terminal, but not from Finder.

Taguapire.
