any way to use gps to record distance
 

As per the subject, is there a *free* application that
I could get that would use the gps feature of the n810
to measure distance covered while walking
around? TIA

MaemoMapper will show the distance of the track you are on. You can insert a mark, then (even set a hardware key to invoke) and click Show distance from last mark, -or- Show distance from beginning.
