n800 0s2008 another 8gb MMC boot problem

I have read all the topics about 8gb boot problems and tried to solve my problem but finally i found myself writing this post. I need Help

I have cloned my os to 2 gb mmc by reading instructions in this forum without any problems. The i tried the same procedure to my 8 gb A-data sdhc mmc. I tried maybe 10 times each one gives me the 'boot from mmc failed' error.

Strange thing is that, I boot from 2gb mmc then reboot and at the boot menu I take out the 2 gb mmc and insert 8gb into its place and the system boots fine with 8gb mmc.

If I boot from internal flash then reboot and at the boot menu I insert the 8 gb mmc to the slot, it again fails to boot.

I suspect the bootmenu.conf but I dont know what to change in it.

Any help will be very much appriciated..... I am new to linux.

So, umm, why on earth you created yet another thread then? Posting to existing thread with posts from other people having same problem would make life too easy for everyone, right? ;-) Check also this.

If you want to troubleshoot this issue and everything already suggested by others failed, you can try this http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...139#post135139

Fanoush: Where do you get that from? It is hillarious and educational :p.
OP: Dont take it too serious. Fanoush just poked some fun with you. Read the 2nd thread, it is very helpful.
