Map application
Ok, I had to completely rewrite what I was going to put here as it was 200 words of venom towards Nokia and how I felt mislead prior to my purchase as to what the GPS application actually provided. But I poked around and I suppose I am initially finding a redeeming value or two. But Nokia would have had me believe its a GPS application when really it (so far) seems to be a map application that makes hobbled use of the built in GPS hardware until they take some more money of mine to unlock its potential. Uh oh, the venom is surfacing again.
Someone please tell me how I can get directions from my "current location" to a favorite (that I specify) without having to pay Nokia in the default Nokia Map application. Then I can say I made a mistake and that Nokia still rocks and that I love them again. :) |
Re: Map application
Do I need to instead use Maemo Mapper? Will it work with the built in GPS of the 810?

Re: Map application
Yes, maemo mapper works with the N810 GPS.
Apparently, so does the quickly-improving voector-based Roadmap. |
