Will THIS sdhc card work???
 

Hi forum

Another quickie. About to buy this sdhc card:
"Transcend - Flash memory card - 4 GB - Class 6 - SDHC "

Will it work with the N800 tab?? And although I've asked this question
before - if, I decide to go UP to 8gb SDHC for EACH slot, will it work?

Should be no problems, i have 1 8gb and 1 16gb card in my n800 - both are class 6 sdhc cards... bigger is better, 16gb from newegg is now approx $65!

With the latest OS2007 and all OS2008 you can use any size/type of SDHC you can buy, now and (very probably) in the far future.

Obviously if you go up to 8Gb for each slot there will be no place to put the 4Gb, unless you hang it off the USB, but it should be compatible with either of the 8Gb.

I have two Patriot 8GB Class 6 SDHCs in my N800.

The only downside to so much memory is it takes a lot longer to run DISKUTIL (memory usage) and media scans for CANOLA, etc.

Battery lifetime has gone down a little, too but that could be due to battery aging. I tend to run my down about 1.5x a day (once a day on weekdays and 2-3 times on weekends).

I would recommend that you stick with the 4gb or 6gb internal and 8gb or even 16gb external, if you ever plan on booting from the mmc there have been quite a few, myself included, that have had problems with the 8gb for that... just my $0.02

Thank you all, again - I've now got enough info from here, to decide what mix of sdhc cards I'll use.
