Micro male to type A female? (USB plugs)
Hi all,
I'm hoping to connect thumb drives and other assorted media to my N810 while I'm out and roaming. I'll be living out of my backpack for 6 months so weight is a big issue for be as is bulk. I'd like to find a USB micro-male to Type A female connector or very short (like 5-10cm). So far I haven't had any luck. Does anyone here know where to get one? I'm looking for the opposite of this http://www.vastercable.com/images/17602-V-1.jpg Cheers, Craig |

Not exactly what you want but should do the trick when combined with a readily found female-to-female USB adapter. I am ordering one right now. /Mike |

I'm also on the hunt for a USB Male - Nokia 2mm converter. My idea is to charge the N810 from the wall via a USB power brick and also from a solar charger. Keeping one plug type means I can connect three power sources (wall, solar panel, Solio) to each of three devices (iPod, GPS data logger, N810) depending on what source is working. |

Nokia CA 101 I think : USB to 2mm
or brando has it ... |

Ahh, the CA 100 is the job, I'll look around for a knock off of that with a really short cord

To get from micro B to mini B, http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-micro.../dp/B000Y032X8
miniB to USB-F is common (and the above cable can be modified to switch into host mode for USB keys - a switch between the brown and black wires inside makes it an instant A/host adapter) The mini-B to USB-A-Female adapters are also common. I found a retractable usb to nokia charger cable at a truck stop / travel center (Pilot, I think), but the ccm accessories (via Amazon, save a bit on shipping) also has a normal to tiny charger adapter: http://www.amazon.com/CA-44-Nokia-Ch.../dp/B0009RFX24 I have some other accessories that use the larger charger, so this allows me to charge the tablet too. |

So you're saying that is I use this device - "ZIP-ADP-C09", and coupled that with an F-F USB cable, I could use external USB devices connected directly to my n810 without modifying the cables?

Re: Micro male to type A female? (USB plugs)
I just happen to have spent half the night searching and trying to figure out the exact adapter, among other places Amazon has it listed for $ 5.99 US.
It's called a USb 5 pin mini male to USB A female. This is the adapter needed for the N800, not sure if N810 has the same output. |
Re: Micro male to type A female? (USB plugs)
No, the N810 uses a micro.
