I'm confused... isn't that basically what itT does already? - provide a place for users to converse?

Sorry my friend.
itT is commercial site.
Just removed two announcements posted to N 700 and N800 forums.
Google Groups are free, non-commercial
and recently Nokia announced partnership with Google
for Mobile Search .

It would be nice to have developers to maintain FAQ and post to
usenet from time to time as years before.

Top-quality search engine at Google Groups
may give Nokia Internet Tablet Google Group's readers and posters
a chance not to post or read the same subject over and over again.

I don't see any reason why Nokia Internet Tablet Google Group should remove interesting news postings as above from its forums.

I deleted post duplicates and moved this thread to General -- no need to post in all the forums to basically discuss the same topic.

itT is not commercial per se. Membership is free. The ads that you see is to help pay for hosting costs.

Developer resources can be found at Maemo.org. There are official mailing lists there too for developers and users.

As for Google and itT, use this: http://www.google.com/cse?cx=0059812...%3Awt9tjwf2kd4

Ok. You are the King.
Frankly speaking Nokia 770, N800, N810 made only 3 not All Forums.
Announcement is just announcement, no need to discusss anything.

Have a nice day.

There will be, in this Google group, alerts about the nasty virus that attack our maemo repositories ?
I'm very aware about this.

Your logic is undeniable, I just can't argue with that :)

Good luck with the mailing list.
