Just wondering why...
There isn't an easier method to hard reset the device back to factory defaults other than a reflash of the firmware?

For the most part of the settings, you can make a backup right after install and revert to that. I think it's quite easy enough.
Also, bear in mind that the 770s main memory is limited and if an easier way would be there, it would be that the file used to flassh the device would have to be stored on the device itself as well, which would take tens of megs and wouldn't really serve any purpose for the general user. |
So much is stored in solid-state data too so it can be preserved when the box is powered off. Hard-resets on other PDAs just clear the RAM and active settings stored within... On the 770 you can make changes directly to the firmware as root so a hard reset "button" wouldn't do the trick anyway.
