Audio Tag Tool v0.12.3
Hi smart people...
K..maemo noob here, be gentle. I've tried to get Audio Tag Tool v0.12.3 to install using the one-click link from maemo.org. When I click the link all I get is text about the repo?? When I try to use application manager to add the cat/repo I can't get it to work. When I try to install from the Audio Tag Tool v0.12.3 home page, I get a nag about libvorbis..etc being missing.. Any hints? |
Re: Audio Tag Tool v0.12.3
I installed it by adding manually the repository. You just need to enter data from the text file you got by clicking the link at maemo.org:
Go to “Tools > Application catalogue” and click “New”. Then enter: "Catalogue Name" field can be anything, e. g. "Mollux.org catalogue" "Web Address" field should be "http://www.mollux.org/maemo/" "Distribution" field should be "chinook" (or "bora", if you use OS2007) "Components" field should be "user" Click OK, refresh the app list and then install tagtool as usual, see e. g. nokia-n800-finding-and-installing-new.html |

Re: Audio Tag Tool v0.12.3
I have the same problem.
I added repository to catalogue. A new record appeared, under "audio" folder, named "tagtool". When I try to install it, it says "Unable to install. Software contains updates to packages installed from a different sources" etc. What's wrong? That's what apt-get says (when trying to install via apt-get install tagtool): Code:
The following packages have unmet dependencies: I did not install any audio or video related packages - OGG support, Canola, other players etc. |
Re: Audio Tag Tool v0.12.3
apt-cache policy libvorbisfile3
apt-get install libvorbisfile3 |
Re: Audio Tag Tool v0.12.3
More precisely:
Open app manager. Remove all repositories. Go to http://www.gronmayer.com/it/ Select the OS you are running OS2007 or OS2008. Click on Select All repositories and then Install Selected. Go in app manager, refresh list of applications. If you get an error, go in the menu, Tools-> Log, look at the one which is failing + Go in the menu, list of repositories, disable the problematic repository. Refresh app list again, and redo the above step for problematic repositories. When refresh app list succeeds, you should have much more things available. These libs are available. |

The little device needs a bit of experience and a lot of searching, no wizard there :)
Repositories are spread everywhere, gronmayer helps in this case. If you don't know this website, you're lost. Glad it helped you. Have fun! |
