AVI file with 2 lanuage
I tried to use Canola to watch some AVI file from a VCD that come with 2 language. is that any software to choose the audio channel? Thanks

Re: AVI file with 2 lanuage
I don't really have an answer for that, but for watching any type of videos/movies, I recommend using Mplayer.
There was a VLC port, but I'm not sure what happened to that project? |
Re: AVI file with 2 lanuage
AVI files only have one audio and one video channel. Even subtitles have to go in a separate file. You must select the audio channel when you convert the VCD to AVI.
And ditto on recommending mplayer. |
Re: AVI file with 2 lanuage
In VCD format usually they will use Left right Channel to store different language. so I am looking for a way to choose right/left channel instead of both. Thanks.

So why not just choose one when you convert the VCD to AVI? Now you'll need to run mplayer from the command line, and set the audio balance. google the man page. Canola is just a pretty front-end. |
Re: AVI file with 2 lanuage
Usually I just copy the Dat file form a VCD and modify the extenion to MPG and store in my N800 so I dont need to do any conversion at all.
