Re: os2008 rtcomm beta install
From your screenshot, it looks like it can't find the libhildonmime0 package. Perhaps you are missing a repository. That package should be on:
Name: Maemo Chinook URL: http://repository.maemo.org/ Distribution: chinook Components: free non-free Check the catalogs your N8x0 has available (in Tools within Application Manager), and add the above if you don't see anything resembling that one. The URL might have been spelled incorrectly (was a bug in an older OS2008 revision I believe, particularly the N810; you should update to the latest firmware if you haven't already). |
Re: os2008 rtcomm beta install
I'm pretty new to the tablets. I'll try to find out what 08 version i have and a guide on installing the newest build. Thanks ev
I don't suppose anyone has a link to show me how to install the newest updated os2008 do they? It would be much appreciated. =) |
Re: os2008 rtcomm beta install
Try this....
After going to red pill mode got t0 check for updates and you should see system update. Install that and then try to install rtcomm. Wrked for my n800. Hope this helps |

Re: os2008 rtcomm beta install
http://repository.maemo.org/pool/chi....1-1_armel.deb
Download that and run it through app manager. See if that works. If not, get easyroot (http://nitapps.com/) and run apt-get install libhildonmime0 as root and post the output here. |
Re: os2008 rtcomm beta install
fixed my rt-comm (or is it rtcom) problem by uninstalling the program and re-installing it. Actually that worked for any files in my restore list that had 0 kb in it.
As mentioned I now have two rtcom(m)s installed. rtcom-beta-os2008 and rtcomm-beta-installer rtcomm instructions can be found here http://rtcomm.garage.maemo.org/ I hope you did not install the system update (as posted above)as that most likely will not help and red-pill mode programs should not be installed unless you have specific instructions. |
