X Terminal and minicom on ssh connected host
Hi, I have problem when I try to connect to a server with ssh and then starting minicom to be able to use a modem pool and in turn remotely connect to terminals connected with modem...
It is creditcard terminals that our company needs to remote control from time to time. The problem is that the return key doesnt work as it is supposed to! Nothing happens. On a sidenote, when using the hardware keys on the Nokia it always adds some extra characters when using "VIM" and trying to paste for example. Will do an extra thread on that Anyone have a suggestion? Will it be a different behaviour with a BT keyboard connected, or even a USB keyboard? Thanks |
With a keyboard it would maybe not be different by default, but you could probably use a custom xmodmap file (as explained elsewhere) to solve the problem.

You may need to use \r vs. \n, or Ctrl-M (CarriageReturn) vs. Ctrl-J (NewLine). |
xmod file
How would I modify the file?
How would that affect the usual function of X Terminal? Is this something that the on-screen keyboard benefit from also? Thanks |
