A couple of email client questions.

Two questions about the built in email client...

1. Does anyone know what i could enter in xterm to give me an option to have it check my email once every minute. im thinking of something along the lines of before the guy made "moredimmingoptions" the way i would enter the command and make new choices by entering more seconds(60 , 120 , 240) you get the idea.

2. Does anyone have any idea , when a sound plays when a new email arrives how to get the wav file to sound only once , instead of twice like it does? i have a .wav file of R. Lee Ermey saying MAIL CALL!! that i want to use.... i already know how to change what sound plays , i just want to be able to make the sound play only once.

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

claws-mail lets you set the time (in minutes) for checking mail.

Code:

gconftool-2 -s /apps/modest/update_interval -t int 1

does anyone know how i can setup claws e-mail client so i can get my gmail and yahoo...

i downloaded the gmail notifier but i would like to have the option of also checking my yahoo as well, so if the notifier can do it then i can delete claws

Thanks,

There's a very good chance you will piss off your mail provider if you check once a minute, resulting in you getting refused for a few hours at a time or even banned. it's just not smart.

you are aware modest supports imap idle, which notifies you immediately?

It does in general but it's disabled in the last Diablo update.
