n800 as GPS, need antireflex protectors

Hi,
I did a quick search of this forum to find if there are any topics about antireflex or antireflective screen protectors. Couldnt find any !

I found couple of them on ebay

Anyone know of a good one ? Do these things really work ? It feels like summer in South Germany now. I definitely need a antireflex now.

I've never bought one, but from what I've heard they don't work. I'm just not interested enough to pay to find out.

The boxwave antiglare ones are very nice - I feel like it makes text input easier and readability is definitely nicer. The N800 screen isn't "sun-readable" like the N810 but if you crank up the brightness you can definitely see it in direct sunlight.

I'm surprised you found no results - search for "screen protectors" and you'll find tons. I just think they usually aren't called antireflex (rather antireflective or anti-glare) on the forums.

Grüß Gott,
I have 3M Vikuiti ARMR200 antireflex foil and it works very well to me.

at the mention of boxwave, i went and looked at their site. i have the miniSync cable and may get the screen protector. one question about them i have is can they be taken off and do they leave behind the adhesive goop that has to be taken off with a solvent/solution? big pet peeve...

No.

It's sorta like those sticky-handy toys you get from vending machines and carnivals. Slightly adhesive, but it releases with water.

It doesn't leave behind residue and it's completely re-washable and re-applicable.
