New Modest Update
 

i have a question about modest , with the new update it finally seems to be working right except for the issue of.... it wont auto retrieve when the app is closed like it would before and it doesnt play the sound or light the LED....can anyone help me on this? im using an N810 with the latest software

It also works for me - most of the time. Every once in a while it seems to crash. Usually I realize: "Hmm... I've gotten new mail, but my Nokia hasn't said anything - weird". "killall modest" at the terminal fixes that. So just try that. But at elast for me, it's an intermittent problem (every two days or so). I haven't figured out if it's correlated with me reading mail on another machine or disconnecting/reconnecting to wifi networks.

Does modest support deleting from the server yet for POP mailboxes?

i think they have locked that feature as a safety measure for the time being...

one thing i have found , for each email account you must have the EXACT same settings in place in the built in client or it wont work

why would that be a safety feature when the onboard client can do it?
