Game Request: Blood
http://www.deathmask.net/images/blood_title.gif http://jonof.id.au/modsuppt/build.games/ss/blood01.png This is a pretty fun game and I was wondering if it would it be at all possible to get Blood running on our ITs. It was released in mid-1997 and has modest system requirements: Intel Pentium 75 MHz CPU 16MB RAM 80MB HD space 256 colour VGA DOS 6.2 As far as I can tell it doesn't require OpenGL support and actually uses the Build engine, the same as Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3D. While the source code hasn't been officially released, there are several fan projects such as Transfusion, a port to the Quake engine, and ZBlood, a port to the popular ZDoom engine. We can already run Duke3D, Quake and Shadow Warrior so perhaps this could be a possibility? Re: Game Request: Blood
That would be a cool game, unfortunately I don't think the source code was ever released. People have tried contacting Monolith, Atari, etc. but have just gotten the runaround:

Re: Game Request: Blood
If there's a (OSS?) fan port to the Quake engine working, it should be possible to port that, anyway.

Re: Game Request: Blood
Looks like there's a Quake version called Transfusion that has most recently been ported over to a Quake modified engine called Dark Places. However, that one seems to be multiplayer only but it does have working bots. And then there's ZBlood running on the ZDoom engine.

Re: Game Request: Blood
Blood have same engine with Duke Nukem and Shadow Warrior,
so DN3D&SW already ported there no reason to stop porting Blood... |
