python, GUI(home plugin) and backround tasks how?
Hi,
I'm developing a GUI program, a home plugin, and it works already quite well. However the program freezes for a moment when executing it. It's because it is connecting over BT to retrieve some data. After the data is retrieved it displays the data. So how can I avoid the freeze? It should display for example 'Initializing' or so while the data is retrieved on the background. I'm looking at threads in pygtk but maybe some of you know better way? TIA icer |

I think the only way is using threads.

ok. Can I use the python threads or should I look at the pygtk threads. This is a bit confusing.
