PDF reader problem with OS 2008
 

Hi I have a Nokia N800, it was running OS 2007.

I use it mainly as a PDF reader. I have scanned my own PDF files and in my opinion it is great to read PDF files, nice and compact and always with me.

I just upgraded to the OS 2008 version, and it looks much nicer, but the problem I'm having is that when I try and open the exact same PDF from the reader, I now get "Unable to open. File format not supported".

I would really like to stick with the OS 2008 and not roll back to the OS 2007 (http://tabletschool.blogspot.com/200...-firmware.html)

Any ideas ???

Thanks eVince would not load with the OS 2008 version.

I decied to back it out, that totally worked, and can read my PDF files again. I used the link above and I then had to put the serial number and it took me to a page with all the versions (http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N800.php), then I followed the instructions and it installed the OS 2007.

So, although I liked the OS 2008 the format was nice, I guess I will have to wait for other versions.

Still taking recommendations, and I would like to go back to OS 2008 in the future.

eVince installs fine here; do post some PDFs if you can, or PM me if you're prohibited from posting them openly, and I'll check if they work.

If they work, we can address how to get eVince.
