nxclient?
 

There an alpha port of nx to maemo, but the message of the author stating that he had no time to work on it did not trigger any interest whatsoever. NX is way superior to vnc, specially when away from home. Is there somebody with the skills to hildonize and above all to make the fullscreen work willing to take up the challenge? I do not enough experience to do it.

NX would be a dream come true, but I don't think there's anyone around with the skills to pull it off. Plus I don't think it's open source, so there are philosophical/legal issues that would need to be considered, as well as getting it compiled to run correctly on the armel.

Actually, I just found this via another thread, and the latest update was Feb. 29, 2008. Looks promising, but I'm still kinda new at this myself so YMMV.
