Hang then reboot
 

Hello,

I'm a new 770 owner.

Having intermittent problems where tablet hangs then reboots. I've downloaded the Nokia bin file and reimaged.

Using a Linksys WRT-54G. It was orginally setup as open I then reconfigured the AP to WPA-personal. The only thing I've noticed is the 770 seems to be remembering the old SSID for the AP.

Any Ideas would be appreciated.

You've updated to the latest images? Mine had same problem until I upgraded it

I downloaded Nokia_770_se2005_3_2005_5k13.bin from Nokia web site along with the XP flasher. The bin installed OK. Problem still there.

It started happening after I enabled WPA. I can disable it temporarily to see if the problem disappears.

I'll let everyone know what I find out.

well, I now dumbed down the Linksys wrt54g AP. Probem still happening. Notice the hang/reboot when Ilist available connections on the 770. Also, noticed an extra AP appearing in the connecion list mirroring the Linksys. This extra connection is the name of my AP prior to me changing the ssid.

It might be worth factory defaulting my Linksys. This will reset the the DHCP table and maybe tte 770 will get a new address.

No. The problem is on the tablet side. Reflash again just to be good. The fact that the tablet is showing old network info means things didn't clear properly on the tablet. Well that or someone else is using the same ssid.

I was suspecting the tablet. Wanted to rule out the other equipment. I don't think its a duplicate SSID.

The AP is back to factory defaults. AP already on current firmware. Checked these to be on safe side.

Reflashed the tablet.

Tablet seems to be stable now. I can give this a few days and try re-enabling wap in the cloud.

I'll keep everyone posted.

If this is a bug, is there a place to search or report it?
