Video: What's the problem?
So I was at dinner with a friend last night, comparing gadgets, and he was showing me full-motion video on both his little cell phone and an older iPaq. I asked him what resolution he scaled the video to and he said -- NONE! These were full-resolution AVI files that he just copied from his hard drive to each device. There was no jerkiness and the sound was in perfect sync. Now I ask you: Why can't the 770 do that?

Because TCPMP has not yet been ported to the 770. The performance that it has been able to squeeze out of minimal platforms is nothing short of amazing. (palm, windows mobile, symbian)
If Nokia really wants to jump on the media bandwagon, supporting a project like TCPMP (It is GPL) with a little bit of cash could certainly go a long long way. |
