how do you play .fla or .swf file
 

hi,

i understand that .fla and .swf are flash movie and flash object file. How do I play these on N800(I have the latest OS2008)? Do I navigate to the folder containing these files and then launch it from there? The reason I ask is that I tried that method but it did not work for me. Any pointer would be appreciated.

You can open your browser, click menu, 'Web page,' 'Open File,' and then navigate to the location of your .swf.

I doubt you'll find anyway to run your .fla (the pre-compiled flash design file).

Hi,
I tried to open the .swf as suggested(ie. from the mini browser, however, the browser would simply stalled; showing a blank page with a lot of '/////////' showing at the bottom of the page. :(. could it be that the .swf I got is broken oor somehow incompatible with N800? the .swf that I have is for temperature unit conversion. and it is flash 5 or something like that.

Someone mentioned awhile ago an idea for a flash player - just a shell he described it as, so you all might have an easier way of access flash offline.
