Problems with Maps on the N810
 

I have looked all over and cannot find any solution to this, and I am also new to IT's so a little help in layman terms would be nice.:p

I bought my N810 used and I am trying to use the original map program but there's no maps downloaded so when I try to download the West US maps it just jumps to about 1/8 of the way and then dosent go any farther until it just says that the download failed. So I tried to download the smallest map and it still did the same thing.

So then I found a thread about a related issue and It said to just uninstall the program and format the internal memory card. Then re-install the program again and that it should work properly. I gave this a shot but im still back to square one.

Is there a website that I have to download the maps from or should I just be able to download them from the program like im trying?

I would appreciate the help for this because this was one of the programs that convinced me to buying the N810.

I had the same problem. Download the map files directly:
