modest no longer connects to gmail
 
modest was working fine with my gmail account until I upgraded the other day. all the settings are correct but now i get :

can not connect to pop.gmail.com. server name or port may be incorrect.

also, why can i not remove the default email client. it is worthless and just takes up space. it also does not play well with gmail.

i reinstalled and that seemed to fix it.
