How to change your N810 Start-Up image
 

Hi There! Sorry to bother the onces who know.
I'd love to learn how to get rid of the "Nokia" logo and the "two hands reaching", and replace it with something a little better.
Can please somebody guide me step by step in this mission?

Thanks a lot General, but I must ve messed up somewhere and it gives me an error when I try to do :cp *startup_nokia_logo.png/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/
I guess the pic I wanna use it's not a .png?
I used the same res. (800x480)
So when I restarted the nokia logo was still there and the hands reaching have disappeared and replace by a white screen.
So again I try to redo the same but this time with the old logo and pictures, and it's back to normal.the only thing is that now it seems like it takes longer to reboot.
Any Thoughts ?

Well, if the picture you're trying to use is not a .png, it probably won't work. So... convert it.
