Installing 3rd Party Applications

I just bought a new n800, and i'm interested in 3rd party applications. Is there anything i need to do to my n800( like install and libraries or w/e) before i download and install the applications from maemo.org?

No. When you click the green arrow in Maemo.org, the NIT will tell you that it needs to install the required repository. Then you have to accept. It is as simple as that.
