Let me just run this one by you.........
 

I was reading through some old threads on this forum and I saw a comment about the web chat/camera only working as it was meant to with other tablets. I got the impression from the thread that a tablet user could make contact with a PC user but that the camera issue wasn't up to par.
That got me thinking and what I thunk was that I don't know anybody else who owns one of these gizmos.
Then I thought some more and came up with the idea of a list.
Not just any old list.
This list would be like a profile for who, where, likes, etc of folk with tablets who would be happy to pass on their knowledge and skills to other tablet users.
As an example, mine would be something like.....
Steve
North-West England.
**Contact details**
Ask me questions on Parrots, Poker, eBay, Motability or any general topic.

So then, one day, I get stuck deciding what kind of paint to use on an outside door. I look on the list for somebody who wrote, "Decorating" on their list and give them a call.

Stupid idea, huh? lol

I think there are sites that already do that. I think I'm in a Spock group like that, for example.

But personally, I wouldn't ever be interested in being contacted by anyone, unless they instead sent me a PM here.

Yeah, I knew it was a dumb idea, lol
The thing is, I tend to think of other folk as though they were me.
I'm not as mobile as I could be so I tend to think of other people as having the same amount of spare time as me.
I guess I spend about 12 - 15 hours a day in front of this screen just nosing around the web.
