I'm glad you're enjoying it.

As for generalLinux knowledge, it's not too applicable to normal use of the N800, since it's OS and applications are simplified/dumbed-down and/or custom.

I haven't tried video chat, but I think it's currently, officially limited to tablet-to-tablet.

And I can't help you with Google calendar.

I disagree with this assessment. Perhaps if you're considering "Linux knowledge" to mean GNOME or KDE knowledge this would be correct, but as "Linux knowledge" has never had very much to do with GUI-specific stuff here, then we're looking at the underlying OS and concepts (particularly xterm), and Linux knowledge will most certainly serve you well there

GTalk is for tablet-to-tablet. Use aMSN or Gizmo for tablet-to-PC.

I said Linux knowledge won't help you in normal use. And for many people, normal use absolutely, positively doesn't involve a terminal. ;)

Unless you're doing advanced stuff, you really don't need to know anything at all about Linux to use the tablets, their interface is entirely graphical.

If you want some starting hints on using your tablet, check out my "Tablet School" site:

Like General Antilles said, the Google Talk feature is only tablet-to-tablet, but you can use Gizmo to connect to a PC.

I don't know about synching with Google Calendar (I know the program I use -- Gene Cash's Calend -- doesn't yet do it) but if you use (and bookmark!) my first Newbie link in the sig below and enter Google Calendar, you might get somewhere, if somewhere is to be gotten. :)
