dead mistake kill browser
I'm using a 770. One day whenever I open web browser, it closes immediately.
I tried to guess the problem, and that it probably is: - In my try to reach Root in File Manager, I went to Xterm and created link with ln -s / Root - After that, I did it again when command ln -s / System Then if I understand right, I have duplicated the link, and it may cause this problem. Is my idea right? What can I do to solve it? Every help is appreciated. I have tried Pidgin, it still works. |
Re: dead mistake kill browser
Try starting the browser from a terminal. Typing "browser" should work. Any error messages displayed might help solve the problem.

Re: dead mistake kill browser
Thanks bro,
I typed "browser" in X Terminal, but nothing appears. The XTerm is like this: / $ browser / $ |
Re: dead mistake kill browser
If I'm understanding what you did, it should cause no problems to have 2 symlinks to the same target.
It will cause problems, though, to have any symlink in MyDocs pointing to a parent directory, unless you disabled metalayer-crawler... |
Re: dead mistake kill browser
Now I can state that duplicate link is not the problem. I have deleted one, and my browser still closes right when it appears.
RSS feed reader still works too. But whenever I click a link, web browser appears and close immediately. It's a strange experience, I've just browsed web 15mins ago |
