Is there a roadmap for the 'expected' development of Canola?
The point about production versus beta releases is valid. In a world of incremental functional releases in a continuous (beta) development flow "production" might mean "when the features I want become available".
In my case that is the ability to use Canola to act as a UPnP control point between NAS and either Linn DS or Olive Melody 2 renderers. Where would I go to see whether that is on a roadmap and high or low priority?

Indeed we had a roadmap, but it's too dynamic, because :

a. The team is flexible

b. Features follows the user needs

About the incremental releases you said, the point is that : for our "final" version indeed there was UPNP, but not youtube, last.fm and others... so it's for me clearly out of beta in a lot of senses, btu the beta of course give us the label of "always" improving. But ok... I think it depeneds on what people expects :)

so : UPNP : our goal, (indeed the beta 9 roadmap) is coming on beta9. We are still fighting with some of it's problems but it's coming.

It has been high high priority since the beginning, but as explained in other posts other team was responsible for that and we needed time to re-work it. : /
