Is this the end of WIMAX???

Re: Is this the end of WIMAX???
It's a rumor from one German newspaper with no sources that T-Mobile *may* buy Sprint and thus build themselves the most complicated cellphone network known to man (CDMA+iDEN+GSM+EVDO+UMTS). Let's wait to see how things pan out before we jump to conclusions. BTW, a summary of the linked article and a more descriptive thread title would be nice in the future. :)

Re: Is this the end of WIMAX???
What does this have to do with WiMAX as a whole? Sprint implementation was just one small piece in the game and by no means does Sprint even represent 1% of the deployment of WiMAX. I know of quite a few companies in the process of deploying WiMAX.

Re: Is this the end of WIMAX???
WiMAX will continue to be developed as a technology until either the cell phone carriers shut it down to protect their own markets or until it's proven to give whole cities cancer at a time :P

Re: Is this the end of WIMAX???
wimax today is being deployed by many fixed operators to fight the cell operators. there is no danger of dying out. there are more then 75 operators deploying wimax... including some cell operators...
