n810 is frozen
 

hey all,

Experiencing a weird problem. My N810 is suddenly unresponsive. I have pulled the battery several times (for 10 secs to do the hard reset) and the turned it on, but it get to the home screen, and then freezes. I can't get it to do a thing. Once the backlight goes off, and i touch the screen to re-enable the backlight, the left hand bar goes blank.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The bar going blank sounds like a Desktop crash. Have you installed any new pieces of software lately that could have messed something up, or stuck your fingers where you shouldn't have?

I don't really have any quick answers to this one, and my suspicion is that it may be less frustrating and less time consuming to take the easy way out and just start from scratch and reflash.

ughhhh.....ok...I guess I have to wait till I get to work on Monday to use my PC there. :(

Why not flash from the PC you're on right now?

yeah, thats what i ended up doing. I didnt realize that I could download the updater. I hope i have a copy of my backup on the other pc though. I didnt find one on the mini sd card.
