software advice needed (email, pim, navigation)

What software do the users out there use?
I quickly found out that the bundled software was a joke for my needs.
The bundled contacts app works great with the bundled email client, but it has no support for interacting with a phone and calling contacts, there's little use for phonenumbers in the addressbook if I have to manually type them into my phone. I tried gpe-contacts wich is great and cann call with the phone using phonelink but I can't find an email client that supports gpe-contacts.

What navigation software do people reccomend? The bundled one simply doesn't work with the GPS. Maemo mapper is better but I am missing some features. The route planning part is awful....

Any other reccomended software???

If you click on the first of the Newbie links in my signature below, and use it to google

frequently used apps

you'll be on your way to some answers.

Please click also on the second Newbie link below. While the second link is, in form, tongue-and-cheek, the info is sincere.

For "theory" on my Newbie links, if you so desire, see this post, too.

Good luck!

Maybee I'm stupid, but I've been googling for hours before and after my last post, but can't find any mention of an app that solves my contacts issue. The only thing that looks like it might be usefull is an app posted on the maemo site called contactinfos but I can't get it to install.

Wayfinder is the obvious answer here. The routefinding is much the same as Tom Tom and the rest.
