FBReader Editor Needed Freeware Please

Hi Guys.

Im looking for an FBReader Editor to create Ebooks for on FBReader.

I have microsoft word but it does not have a compatible format for output so i can use saved documents so they read nicely in FBReader.

Im NOT after commercial software for this purpose so just Freeware.

Maybe a converter if not an editor for conversion to FB2 format.

Get messaging guys and thanks.

I tried searching the site but its a nightmare needle in a haystack.

FBReader will handle just about anything from rtf to html and plucker. Personally, I'd just use html, as most text editors can export it and FBReader handles it well.

Try Mobipocket Creator - http://www.mobipocket.com/en/Downloa...ilsCreator.asp

I used this for converting a large book (with links and notes) from MS Word format.

FBReader understand a mobipocket format.

I apologize in advance for hijacking this thread but does anyone know the equivalent programs in Linux?

TIA

i've been reading ebooks converted in openoffice from .doc to .rtf, so that's for editing.

saving as .html would probably work too.

After your recommendation I looked for BookDesigner, and the link from above doesn't work. Here it is now for downloading, and here is a wiki about it.

I haven't used either yet. Also, there are two different programs, and I don't the difference:

BookDesigner and FictionBookDesigner.

As for Egres' mobipocket comment, does that mean it will read legally bought ebooks from the net? with drm and all that ****?
