Browser Scrollbars
Hello, hello!
Quick question/suggestion. The scrollbars in the browser, can they be hidden? Especially in full screen mode? I'm unaware of the config file to change, and there is no simple option in the menu. If this is not possible currently, I think we need to rig something ;) Any ideas? |
Re: Browser Scrollbars
I don't know about rigging it up 'ourselves,' but a number of us have been begging for it to be a feature of the OS. Look here and then read into next page where Texrat talks about it as a bug report, to which you can add your name.

Re: Browser Scrollbars
I don't want transparent ones :( I'd just like them gone, no need for them.

Re: Browser Scrollbars
From a UI perspective, there is a need for something that indicates that one can scroll. Are you just making the recommendation that the scroll bars go, but teh arrow markers stay; or that the who thing be done away with?

Re: Browser Scrollbars
On a similar note... is there a way to make the scrollbars a bit wider/taller? Sometimes I have a hard time using the stylus to grab ahold of the tiny scrollbars.

Re: Browser Scrollbars
I just want them gone completely. But, for future reference, I think maybe we should have a lighting effect on the edges where the page can be scrolled.
Very subtle, but easy to see. But for now, I'd just like those ugly things gone. |

Re: Browser Scrollbars
I'd love to be able to change them to the scrollbar style which i seem to remember seeing in Fennec, which was semi-iphone-like, just a VERY thin grey-translucent rounded scrollbar.
I can't check that it's present in Fennec 'cause Fennec refuses to display anything when I open it on my N810. I'm thinking I broke some shared library when I apt-get upgraded. |

Re: Browser Scrollbars
totally hide the scrollbars in browser:
create a file: /home/user/.mozilla/microb/chrome/userContent.css with this content: Code:
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml); |
